Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
So, I received 2nd degree frost bite a week ago, I had a large blister form that extended from the ball of my foot to the heel, and all the way across. I have been to followups and was told it didnt look infected. So I was hobbling around the house today and it popped, the fluid that drained was an orange color, and there was quite a lot of due to the size of the blister. I have virtually no pain and can put full weight on the foot with no issue. Should I be concerned about the color of the fluid? There was absolutely no puss, it flowed like water when I drained the rest of it out. I washed with soap and water, dried with a clean towel and applied antibiotic ointment before bandaging in gauze and wrapping it.
Hi, I had gone through your query and understand your concerns.Frostbite is the medical condition in which localized damage is caused to skin and other tissues due to freezing. Frostbite is most likely to happen in body parts farthest from the heart and those with large exposed areas. The initial stages of frostbite are sometimes called frostnip.f freezing continues, the skin may freeze and harden, but the deep tissues are not affected and remain soft and normal. Second-degree injury usually blisters 1–2 days after becoming frozen. The blisters may become hard and blackened, but usually appear worse than they are. Most of the injuries heal in one month, but the area may become permanently insensitive to both heat and cold. I'l suggest you take homoeopathic medicine Agaricus Muscarius200/twice daily/for three days and take proper precautions. You can discuss this with your treating Doctor. Take medicine for 3 days and come back to me after 3 days. Wish you good health.
