What Is The Remedy For Heavy Bleeding And Pain After The Insertion Of Pills In My Vagina To Abort The Dead Foetus?
Doctors inserted 4 pills in my vagina to abort my dead fetus. I went back to the doctor a week later and was told that there was still some of the fetus in my body. I was given more pills and told to come back in two weeks. I am still bleeding and it has a bad odor and I am in pain that feels like contractions. What should I do?
Hi and thank you so much for trusting us with your health query.
I am so sorry to hear about this persistent bleeding and bad odour. These symptoms are suggestive of post abortion infection of th uterus (endometritis). It constitutes and emergency that need immediate attention. You would need to receive antibiotics and get the uterine cavity emptied probably using instruments. Please, treat this as a matter of urgency to avoid severe complications associated with this condition.
