Hi,
The causes likely for the ineffectiveness of the medication are the inadequate dosage, hormonal imbalance already existent in PCOD taking a longer time for inducing a withdrawal bleed or pregnancy. Withdrawal bleeding is usually seen up to 10 days after completion of treatment. Pregnancy test of urine can read only after 3-7 days after the missed period and for a better and earlier confirmation, you should resort to the blood test for pregnancy. Please proceed with proper evaluation and management for PCOD if pregnancy is excluded as results are usually very good with timely treatment. Maintain a healthy weight, regular exercise and a healthy diet. Take care.
