What Is The Remedy For Spotty And Sensitive Skin When On Duac Gel?

Hi I am having problems with my facial skin... It s spotty and very sensitive... I have been prescribed with duac gel.. Today is my third day using it... I feel the spots hv increased.. Skin is more reddish... Also itchy n little burny... Is this all normal...?

Thanks for writing to us.
No, it is not normal. You seem to have developed contact irritant dermatitis with your prescribed medicine. Withold its use for few days. Use a mild steroid like desonide over affected area twice in a day. Also use a good moisturiser like detaphil for few days. Once the redness and irritation subsides, restart your medicine but use in a small quantity as excessive or over application has possibly led to this problem.
