What Is The Remedy For The Dry Hacking Cough?

I have a very dry hacking cough which I have had for over 10 yrs. I have had so many tests and Dr can t find anything wrong. The cough can come up very quickly and it is harsh it hurts it is awful. Sometimes cough candies or cough syrup can slow it down but not stop it. I have had 2 broncosopies they have gone into my stomach with a camera. So many tests but I still cough. Could this drug be causing it. Yes my mouth can grow dry so quickly too. Help

I have gone through your query regarding dry irritating cough for last 10 years, you had been examined and investigated so many times but unfotunately your problem can't be solved.

You said that your cough appears suddenly and after some times it slows down. considering your medical history it might be due to-

1- Allergic cough.

2- If you are taking anti hypertensive drugs (Ace inhibitors) that may cause it.

3- Sub clinical sinusitis.

You please consult your physician and investigate yourfelf to rule out above possibilities, I hope you will get a satisfactory result.
