What Is The Remedy For The Fever And Cold With Consistent Cough?

Doctor, I have been suffering from cold for the past 4 days .There is also pain in my neck .I am allergic to vehicle smoke & Dust.I get headache & will go off after waking up & brush my teeth & cough up only a liitle phlem will come.IT APPEARS IT IS COMING FROM MY HEAD & i WILL GET LOT OF RELIEF.I have also had fever & shivering.I have been taking DOLO COLD three times a a DAY for 2 days. THE TEMPERATURE IS COMING TO 99 AFTER 3 OR 4 HOURS & AGAIN GOING BACK TO 102 pLEASE ADVISE

Hello
Since you mentioned that fever ( high or low ) is from last 4 days .
You are also having cough with expectoration ( phlegm) .
Such type of symptoms may be due to .
1 Viral fever associated with allergy as in your case may be a flu type .
2 Secondary infection associated with allergy . Diagnosis can be confirmed by throat swab by an E N T expert.
3 As you mentioned that there is phlegm so sometimes bronchiectasis amy be the reason of such symptoms . Diagnosis can be confirmed by X ray chest and physical examination by a physician.
In your case symptoms are just from 4 days , so in such type of cases I usually advise monteleukast + levoceterizine 1 tablet twice in day with simple paracetamol for 4-5 days.
If symptoms still persists then consult as mentioned above.
