What Is The Remedy For The Fluid In The Ear And Croaky Throat Having Cold And Laryngitis?
I had cold and laryngitis 3 weeks ago and now how lots of catarrh and fluid in left ear left side of throat still gets croaky and I feel I can't clear my throat, doctor has given me antibiotics for low grade infections as glands were up in neck on left, why is it taking so long to recover? I have been taking antibiotics for 48 hours now

As per your query you have luid in the ear and croaky throat having cold and Laryngitis . Well there symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons , But in your case it occur due to bacterial or viral infection of upper respiratory track , which spread to ear through eustachian tube . It usually occur when upper respiratory track infection left untreated for longtime or because of low immunity . The symptoms suggest that the infection is severe and it can take upto week to get better . I would suggest you to take medicine as per prescription and complete the course . If condition doesn't get better in a week then consult ENT specialist again . Doctor may prescribe stronger antibiotics . For now do warm saline gargles and apply warm dry compresses to external ear .
