Lately my left ear, jaw, and the side of my face have been hurting if I put any pressure on the left side of my face, or tug on my ear it makes the pain a lot worse. I use q-tips to clean my ear, and anytime I do it always hurts to even stick it in my left ear a little bit...

There can 3 reasons for you pain, the first being an external ear infection/swelling due to the use of q tips, second one being a problem in your temporo mandibular ( jaw ) joint and a 3rd reason being a sinus infection!
Please meet your ent doctor as he will have to examine you before coming to a conclusion and treat you accordingly!
