Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello my name is Gemma and I have had threadworms for about 5 years now. They can come at night as well as in the morning when I am at school. My nan had them at a young age and they had to take her appendix out. I have been to the doctors many times, and none of the treatments work. I always feel down because I feel like they are taking over my life.. please can you give me some advice on what to do?
It seems that it is probably not an issue of the treatments not working, but an issue of you becoming re-infected over and over again with the threadworm.
Usually when one person has threadworms, all the family needs to be treated in order to prevent re-infection.
When visiting your doctor next, do speak to him about this.
