Hello and welcome to HCM, It is unlikely to suffer from typhoid fever despite treatment for the same. The treatment most commonly prescribed for typhoid fever is antibiotic- ciprofloxacin. The infection could be due to some other infectious agent rather than Salmonella typhi (causative agent of typhoid). A carrier state for typhoid is known due to persistence of infection in the body especially gall bladder. However, carrier state is not associated with clinical illness and the state is silent.
