Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife took a punch to the face from a man sat night. She has been sleeping alot and in alot of head pain. She wakes up fine when I wake her and speaks to me fine but mon morning she said she was feeling dizzy. She says she dosent need to be seen but I think it would be a good idea. what should I do or do for her?
Hello! I read carefully your query and understand your concern. Well it is normal after a face trauma (even a minor one ) to experience headache and some dizziness. I suggest to monitor her.If her head pain and dizziness get worse and she start having other symptoms such as drowsiness, weakness, seizures than I suggest to consult a physician and get a CT scan of head done to exclude possible injury.
Meanwhile she can use painkillers to relieve her headache like Ibuprofen.Paracetamol,Naproxen. She need rest too.
Hope it helps. Take care. Dr.Rovena
