What Is The Right Dosage Of Ibugestic To Be Given To Infants For High Fever?

Hi..my son is 1year old..he suddenly got fever last night, last night i gave him crosin at 12.40 but it dint help at all so after 4hrs i gave him ibugesic..but again it has not worked..its been only 3hrs and i dont know if i should give him one more dozage or wait..he has very high fever..please advice..thankss

Thank you for your question on HCM.
Im giving you the dosages for your child.Ibugesic is usually given according to the weight of the child.

For Fever and/or Pain :
give 15 mg/kg as a first dose and then 10 mg/kg by mouth every 4 - 6 hours as needed.
The maximum daily dose that is safe is 90 milligrams per kilogram weight per day (90 mg/kg/day), unless your baby is less than 3 months old when you should not give more than 60 milligrams per kilogram weight per day (60mg/kg/day).

ibugesic can be given every six to eight hours safely.
If the temperature of your baby is more than 103 F or higher, or if your child seems fussy, lethargic, or dehydrated ,you must consult a doctor.
