What Is The Right Pediatric Dosage Of MLS Antibiotic?
My daughter got prescribed Bactrim DS for a boil that was drained and tested positive for MRSA, she is supposed to take 18.75 MLS twice a day, but I m concerned that it is too much. So I was trying to make sure the dosage was right. She weighs 80.8 pounds and is 7 yes old.

The dose of Bactrim DS for pediatric patients is 6-12 mg per kg body weight every 12 hourly, that comes around 210-400 mg dose every 12 hourly. The same has to be converted in ML formulation for your case. I think your pediatrician is perfect in dosage calculation and you should adhere to the same for best results along with regular follow up.
