What Is The Right Quantity Of Sporlac For Diarrhea In Infants?

My baby is 8mth running .he got losse motion from last 4 days..on 1st day it was 9-10 times bt a lil bit every time ..n 2 ,3 ,4 days it was reduced in now. V consulted doc n he suggested ors.. N sporlac powder ..bt how to give this powder n in milk or water n qty ??? N he also having warmth in mor ..thn normal..he cries boz of motions..restless..plz advice

Hello,
The most important step in treating diarrhea is re-hydration. The child should be given ORS freshly prepared daily, in small sips about 50 ml after passing each loose stool. Giving ORS in large quantities can make the child vomit, use spoon or sipper and give the fluid in very small quantities each time. About half of 1gm sachet of Sporalac powder can be dissolved in 5-10 ml of water and given up to 3-4 times per day.
