I am a male of age 46 & hypothyroid patient since 1998. Every year I get TSH test done at pathlogical lab. My question is what is the best way of giving blood sample. Should it be given empty stomach in the morning afte taking morning usual thyroxine pill which I take every day. or should the sample be given after stopping this pill for some days.
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have hypothyroidism and you are taking thyroxine. You should go for TSH testing in morning with empty stomach.
No need of stopping pills for some days.
