What Is The Ringing In My Ears After Taking Metoprolol?

I took my first dose of a new prescription called Metoprolol 25 mg 4 hours ago and the ringing in my ears is severe. Will my body adjust to this prescription or should it be changed to another beta blocker? Should I contact my doctor immediately or can it wait until Monday and should I continue taking until then?

Hello

I would like you to stop the medication and contact your doctor , it is not an emergency unless you develop hearing loss , vomiting or giddiness. Please meet your doctor to change the drug.
Thanks
