I am 36 yo. I am s/p BTL 3/16/10. I recently underwent Bilat Salpingectomy for left tubal pregnancy 6/3/11. The conceptus was 5 wks with bleeding into the cul de sac. The cornual stumps were not cauterized with removal of the tubes. I am considering use of ParaGard as a birth control method. I previously took oral BC for 16 years and opted for the BTL as I no longer wanted to take BC. What is my risk of pregnancy using IUD as a BC method given my hx of Ectopic pregnancy and Bilat Salpingectomy?
