I need to know you age, type of pain aggravating and relieving factors, postural changes, any pins needle sensation etc. 90% of back pain is musculoskeletal relieved by simple pain killers but we need to rule out discogenic or facetogenic pain.Physiotherapy also helps along with medicines. If pain is getting better just continue taking painkillers for max 2 weeks. no bed rest is recommended nowdays as it deconditions you muscles. if pain recurs just consult a pain physician for correct diagnosis.
