Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, me and my wife are trying to conceive a baby. her health conditions are normal and all the tests the doctor have suggested are fine excepting she had developed a little sign of thyroid for which the doctor have prescribed for Thyronorm tablets. Now, the doctor have prescribed to give her to take 10 Placentrex injection every alternate day after her period gets over. Please let me know why this particular injection is suggested when she is completely normal? Is there any side effect of the same.
As Placentrex decreases chronic inflammation of pelvis to significant level in comparison to antibiotics alone, it can be a good option- specially to reduce the risk of tubal damage, infertility and formation of adnexal mass. The side effects reduce in the next few days after your body adjusts to the drug.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
