What Is The Semen Liquefaction Time?

hello doctor..my name is P k ..I have a question about semen liquefaction time..I have taken semen analysis test..in that test showing self liquefaction is 2 hour 10mnts..doctor told me its not a problem and treatment is not required..is it correct? please answer me

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Normal semen liquefaction time is 20 to 60 minutes post ejaculation.
Liquefaction of ejaculated semen is caused by proteolytic enzymes secreted by prostate gland.
However, if the sperm count is normal in semen sample, no further investigation is required.
Further work up is required only when sperm count is low.
Thus, I assume that your sperm count is and other parameters are within normal limits and thus no further work up has been suggested by your doctor.
