Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been coughing for couple months and have had cold and sinus infection too been on antibotics and cough syrup my dr give me. I got better but started back coughing and still taking cough syrup when need it had sore throat but dr give me antibotics for it .I don t smoke and tried it in my teens but didn t like it. My kids smoke but not around me very much.I am a worrier. Dr told me I have allergies very bad and on Flonase and Claritin daily. Do you think could be something worse?
So , I think first thing you should do is to identify the allergic agent which causes worsening of your symptoms. It can be a food, milk, eggs, cold weather, cold bath etc.
After that try to avoid it as much as possible. Steroid and allergic drug will help you to control symptoms but in the long run avoidance of allergen is must. Hope you understand. There is nothing to worry. You will be alright soon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Loveleen Sharma, General & Family Physician
