My son has a small amount of waxy coloured fluid leaking from his ear when I took him to the GP this morning he diagnosed ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. When he looked inside my sons ear he said there was also a white gunk (can t remember the terminology he used) do you think this is a sign my sons ear drum has perforated?
Hello Welcome to healthcare the way you are mentioning, doesn't look like a perforation. Fungi like candida and aspergillus fumigated form whitish discharge (curd like and serous respectively) other symptoms suggestive of fungal infection are pain itching etc. You can try clotimazole ear drops
