Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
thanks for writing to us.
Dark elbows and knees can be treated by using creams containing keratolytic agents like urea, lactic acid, salicylic acid or glycolic acid. If residing in India, you may apply xerina cream. It is an intensive moisturising cream with these agents.
Taking few sessions of chemical peels like glycolic acid or trichloroacetic acid also helps. At home you may use mixture of thick milk cream, lemon and sugar to scrub, moisturise and lighten the area.
Hope this helped.
Take care
