What Is The Solution For Loose Motion In A Newborn Baby ?
My child (32 days old, weighs 2.6 grams, one the weaker baby of the twins that we have) is suffering from loose motions, One doctor prescribed him econorm (some yeast) but its still not working. Please let me know what should be done to stop it.
The newborn baby stool output has minimal significance when he passing urine more than 6 times a day and gaining weight normally. You should give him breast feeding only.Dont fear of less milk output every mother has the potential to feed her baby and milk output depends on the will of mother and proper sucking by baby. The econorm may not help as this is a NORMAL condition.
Hi Madhu thanks for query.I hope that he is taking his feeds normally.Normally in an infant there is a tendency to pass stool when ever he takes feeds,if this is the case nothing is required. In other case it is better to go for stool test and see whether any infection is there or not.Econorm is fine, make sure he passes urine normally and takes proper feeds.I hope and expect that you are not usuing bottle to feed them.
wishing him good health.
hi,
welcome to Health Care Magic,
if the child is only on your breast milk & stools are yellowish in colour, nothin to be worried about it, its normal for children to have those kind of stools. it will subsude by itself. only thing u need to do is to keep feeding child as frequently as possible. else get stool examinationm done to rule out some infection.
