What Is The Solution For Recurring Pain In The Arm?

pain in upper right arm- in the vein. i can follow pain/vein to lower mid-arm. went to dr.- not a clot. what could this be? started out arm pit hurt a little also had a pinch-like bruise on inside of upper arm. a few days later this went away followed by a blood colored pinch mark on lower inside part of my arm. i waited two weeks before i went to dr. was told to put heating pad on arm for 30 minutes/day. pain went away within that third week. now it's back.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
This looks to be a typical condition called idiopathic ( reason is not known) thrombo-phlebitis.
This is an idiopathic condition and self-limiting meaning heals on its own.
This can be due to an autoimmune disease.
The treatment can be given in the form of anti-oxidants, steroids as per Doctor's advise.
