What Is The Solution For Vibrations In Right Carotid Artery And Stabbing Pain In The Right Neck?

My 16 year old daughter has vibrations in her right carotid artery intermittently - lasts about 30 seconds and happens 8-10 times a day for the last week, occurring at rest or with exercise. She says it is associated with a stabbing pain in the right neck region also, over her collar bone over the pulse. Sometimes she has a hot flush with sweating when the episode occurs.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
The best way to see or rule out a serious problem concerned with such symptoms you have mentioned , I would advise an urgent MRI angiography of this area, color doppler study.

Most probably this is just a perception problem of a growing girl- but this we can say only IF the reports and clinical examination by a Physician are normal.

I find this answer helpful
