General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the query. Total sperm cout in given sample is 50 millions per ml.&total volume of semen in sample being 2ml...total sperms in sample is 100 millions . Only 30% of them are actively motile... this seems tobe point of concern for 60% is considered as normal motility needed for fertility. Morphology is 70%normal&your sperm count is also within normal limits( more than .35 millions) *All these parameyers specially motility affect sperm movement directly affects conception &needs to be managed ..which consists of- - dietary control ®ular exercises to reduce & maintain ideal weight. -Consumptionof alcohol/smoking to be curtailed. -limit use of cell phone. -Takedietory supplimentsfor selenium&vitamin E. * No improvement with the self care.. needs consultation of a urologist/sterility specialist for further evaluation as per vericocoel/infections are concerned followed by specific treatment. Thanks.
