What Is The Suggestion For A Bump On Forehead After A Hit?
When I was 13 I hit my forehead with a Jeeps Roll bar and ever since then, I've tried to put pressure on it trying to make it blend in with the rest of my fore head and trying to make it go away. It is kind of soft and I think it could be removed. It is very noticeable and would like to know if there is some kind of surgery to make this bump go away?
Hi, Welcome to HCM! You haven't mentioned your present age. It depends in what is your age now and how long ago the injury had occurred. If it has happened recently, the swelling is likely to be a collection of blood and in that case, it will resolve itself soon. If it had happened long ago, fibrosis has taken place at the site causing it to become hard. In that case, with careful evaluation, it can surgically be removed for cosmetic purpose. Hope that solves your query. Feel free to ask if you have any doubts. Regards, Dr. Sridhar Reddy
