What Is The Survival Rate For A Patient With 90 Percent Heart Blockage?
My name is Amy my dad is going to have open heart surgery This week I wanted to know how many chances of surgery is successful. Doctor said, heart is 90 percent blockage in three vessels and he is also a diabetic with high blood pressure. Please answer my question as soon as possible. thank you.
Since the blockage is ninety percent, without treatment 100 percent mortality can be expected. Hence with surgery, the survival rate is much higher than without surgery. Hence I would suggest immediate surgery and control of blood pressure and blood sugar post surgery.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
