What Is The Swollen Bump On Upper Lip?

Hello, I noticed one day at work as I was drinking some water that I have a swollen bump on my upper lip. If it stays untouched it will go away but if I play around with it like pinching it the swelling of the bump will get bigger. But will eventually always go away within the hours. There s no pain or itching or burning. It came back today which is 2 days later from the first incident. What could it be? Ps I have never had a cold sore and no possible way of contracting it.

The possible diagnosis of the condition is herpes labialis which is a viral infection caused by herpes simplex virus. It gets reactivated in periods of stress and physical activity and so you need to avoid the same.Oral antiviral drugs like Acyclovir 400 mg three times a day for 7 days can also be used. Consult your dermatologist regarding the same. Thanks
