What Is The Thick Sack-like Vaginal Discharge I Had?

I got my period about 2 days ago. In the shower this morning I had a thick sack-like vaginal discharge. It appeared to possibly have blood vessels in it. I'm not a virgin but I am on the pill and also use condoms. I'm not freaked out at the moment, but i do want to know what it is.
