What Is The Thumping In My Ear When On A Nasal Spray?
I have had a thumping in my right ear for quite some time. I was recommended a nasal spray but it did not work. My massage therapist noticed behind that ear there is a bump or a ball of tension. It can be moved around like a knot in the back. Any ideas on what this is from?
Though you have not written elaborately about your complaint, still, I will try to solve your problem:- 1) the bump behind the ear is likely to be a Lymph Node in Post-aural area. 2) if it is mobile and non tender, then nothing to worry and nothing to do. 3) if it is gradually enlarging, then check if you have Dandruf in your hair. For this you use Anti dandruff shampoo. alternate day for 2 weeks. 4) If it does not regress, then get a FNAC test of thy swelling.
The bump behind your ear would be a small lymph node ( gland) and it is unlikely to cause the thumping feeling! The feeling maybe due to blockage of your eustachian tube ( which is a normal tube between your ear and nose) and will come down with the nasal sprays, hence i would like you to continue them. I would also like you to start steam inhalation 3-4 times a day , it will help/ Thanks
