Initially it was told as ALL but further investigation revealed that she has AML too so (ALL/AML). she has undergone the chemotheraphy treatment for ALL related and before continuing next they want us to decide on the BMT also then only extensive chemo will be useful. If anybody under gone this treatment pls let me know tolerance level for kids. and wat was total expenses involved? thank you
Hello;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
ALL/AML require chemotherapy and the course of treatment is decided by the Physician(Oncologist) who is treating and it depends on the response of the patient towards the medicine.The tolerance for the kids as well as elder person is same and you will have to support her as there is vomiting following chemotherapy during the treatment and there can be hairloss. Kids get disturbed about vomiting so you have to assure her and help her cope with it.As for the expense it depends on the city;the hospital;the drugs used and the doctor but the duration is long enough so the expense will be quite high like a few lakhs and the treating doctor will be the best person to tell about it so please discuss it with him.
Thanks
