What Is The Treatment Advised For A Bump Caused By A Hit On The Car?
i hit my head on the door of a car, my head bounced to then hit the door frame very hard. that was almost 8 hours ago, but the bump is still very tender to the touch, and it hurts to bend over. should I see a doctor? can I sleep with this kind of head injury?
Hello It seems from the history that you had a injury to the head following which you are having a bump. This indicates hematoma because of collection of blood at the site of injury as a result of impact of injury. This will resolve by 1-2 weeks and treatment is by cold compression and use of analgesic drugs. However if you are having severe pain need to rule out fracture of the underlying bone, hence you may require radiological investigations like X rays. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
