Hello doctor, my friend is 25 years old. He has got high blood pressure and ckd. His creatinine level is 1.6 and he is now in stage 3. Is it curable for him? if not, what should he do for his improvement? What kind of diet should he follow? Does acupressure work for ckd? Thank you.
Hi welcome to HCM. CKD can be managed through drugs like antihypertensives, diuretics and blood purification procedures like Hemodialysis. This provides an excellent results for stage 3 ckd by reducing the serum potassium and creatinine.Protein restricted diet should be the corner stone for ckd patients.Avoid foods like coconut water and milk and soya protein.Accupressure has no role in the management of CKD.The permanent cure can be offered by HLA compatible kidney transplantation.Consult your Nephrologist for further queries. Thank you
