Hello doctor .. I'm 22 yrs girl suffering from Erb's palsy in my left arm , actually i'm 5th year medical student and i found many difficulties in my practice so i want to find any good solution to improve my condition to be able to practice my job as a doctor in a perfect way , what is ur advice in my case ? Is there any surgery to nerves can be done ?
as you have Erbs palsy I will advice you to undergo a thorough neurological examination. Post which and EMG and NCV will be advised.
Based on the Neurological examination and diagnostic findings the next course of action will be initiated.
In many cases of erb's palsy in my clinical practice responds well to physical therapy by improving the motor skills and also the strength in the muscles.
I will advice you to look for the physical therapy initially and if the symptoms are worsen by losing the motor control then surgery is of choice.
