What Is The Treatment For Hepatitis B?

Hello Madam,

I am Murali Krishna S, Aged 27 from Bangalore.



Recently with my Health checkup I had been addressed that I am affected by Hepatitis B Virus. Please address my Questions & kindly reply me with the solutions:



1.     What is my next step to be taken?

2.     Is there any treatment for this HBs ?

3.     Currently I am not seeing any symptoms should I get treated immediately.

4.     I am Married & my wife is pregnant, I have tested her Blood samples, her reports says NEGITIVE, Should I make to take any vaccination?

5.     My Mother is infected with the same 10 Years back, did I get it through hereditary? If so what kind of vaccination need to be giving my son?



Please do the needful, Please suggest me an expert(Doctor) to contact in Bangalore.

hi.
thanks for posting query at HCM

advise for you:

HBsAg can not be completely eradicated in a patient suffering from HepB.
however, complications maybe prevented if proper medication is taken and proper diet plan is followed.

even if HBV DNA count in PCR are not high,
Liver enzymes should be monitored regularly while HepB markers maybe checked every 6 to 12 months.

Treatment is advised IF high values of liver enzymes AND high viral LOad on a PCR.

for your wife; she should be vaccinated against HBV asap
