I have been taking the femodette pill for 17 days now and my skin has broken out really badly in spots all over my face, my chest, the top of my back and the tops of my arms. I usually have a bit of acne but Ive never had anything like this! what can I do to help? should I stop taking this pill?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sudden break out of acne which seems to be due to hormonal imbalance in your body. I would suggest you to start with oral contraceptive pills as it will regularize your menstrual cycles and decrease hair growth. You should use spironolactone as it is anti androgen. You can start with eflornithine cream, electrolysis and laser treatment as well. I would suggest you to visit gynecologist once and get it examined. Go for tests such as Ultrasound pelvis, DHEAS to find out exact cause of your condition and can start treatment accordingly. Avoid exposure to sun light. Drink plenty of fluids.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
