Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. The dent over skull can be due to
: Old trauma
: Bone moulding which occurred in childhood to give shape to skull
: Age related degeneration like
sclerosis and lysis.
Presence of dent with occasional headache does not need any surgical intervention. This pain could be due to injury only. Dent will remain there without any symptoms. No need to do anything actively for it. The pain in first dent occurred because of natural phenomenon of pain
radiation to scar which occurs in every person. Do not worry about it. It will subside on its own in 10 to 14 days.
To relieve pain, you can follow few tips
: Avoid stress both mental/physical
: Avoid pressure at injury site
: You can take painkiller like
Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
Still no relief, you can
consult doctor. The doctor may advise CT head to find out any
skull fracture at dent site. Even fracture is managed by medical treatment in case of skull except depressed fracture.
Hope it will help you. Take care. Thanks.
