Stated pain started below left breast (this was before hosp admission) Now the pain is posterior--above the left hip she says around her waist line area. She states it is SEVERE but if she sits it goes away. She also cannot hear out of one ear (this began about a week ago--MD took wax out but she still cannot hear Prior to this she was a very active woman...is now having confusion as well ...B/P is up as well--systole over 100
HI. What is the result / report of CT abdomen? ? I think she needs soap water enema as CT is showing full of stool. With the age the evacuation becomes a problem and impacted stool can give rise to pain / distension. One should get the colonoscopy done after a preparation ( not now) meaning cleaning of bowl and rule out cancer or other possible causes. The other pains you say again can be due to impacted fecoliths. Hearing - go for audiometry to know if this is age related. BP looks fine - not above normal
