Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am now going on four months of abdominal pain with three acute bouts of more severe pain lasting a couple hours to 6-8 hours. The initial bout followed a meal, lasted several hours and resolved. I thought i had a case of food poisoning. Several weeks later I had a second bout following a meal which was far more intense and lasted far longer. No vomiting or diarrhea and complete resolution of symptoms again. A third bout occurred more gradually not directly following a meal, but never completely resolved. In the immediate days following I would have epigastric burning which was actually relieved by eating. Since that time I experience sensations in the abdomen daily. I feel like I have a dead necrotic organ in the area of the gall bladder adhering to other organs, possibly liver and duodenum. At times I feel as though I have an obstruction in my small intestine. No fever at any time. Lab tests negative. Negative H-pylori, Negative parasite & Ova. Negative fecal blood stool. What is the next best test and what is the most likely differential diagnoses. I feel like I have gall bladder ileus.
Hi. thanks for an elucidate history. CT Scan of the abdomen after a good preparation can help diagnose the cause of your pain. It looks you are too conscious as you are suspecting something that only a medic or a paramedic would know. Also get the upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy done. This in fact can be an allergic problem of the intestine.
