What Is The Treatment For Acalculous Cholecystitis?
hi, im a 21 yo female with a bmi of 23 who has just been discharged from hospital with a diagnosis of Acalculous Cholecystitis, with a meeting with a consultant 6 weeks away I am wondering what diet i should follow if any and what foods should i definatly avoid?
Hello, I hope you are well, it is important to mention that this type of disease is rare, mainly related in critical patients in a septic or ischemic situation, elderly or immunocompromised patients with poor prognosis. The differential diagnosis is with a calculus cholecystitis, right pyelonephritis, right basal pneumonia, peptic ulcer disease with or without perforation, acute pancreatitis, etc. I comment this because you do not have risk factors for it, so you should consider a second opinion in your diagnosis.
