Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have a 2 month old and recently while he has been eating he will stop and start screaming. I was wondering if that is a sign of acid reflex. He normally has no problems eating this has just started in the past week or so, he is bottle fed. He will eventually take the bottle again after about 10 min and while he is crying he locks his legs.
As per our clinical experience, the acid reflux does not present in this manner as described here. Possible issue with sharp intestine spasm from low stomach capacity, gastric outlet obstruction or others. Must be evaluated primarily with ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
