Regarding your query for low grade fever to your 17 month old son for last feww weeks who had infection in his ear.
Your medical history indicates that your child may be having any chronic fever and now it becomes necessary that a paeditritian should examine him thoroughly in the line of PUO (pyrexia of unknown origin), and investigate accordingly. As far as ear infection is concerned that should also be ruled out by examination of ear as to exclude acute otitis media and otitis externa.
Probably by above exercise your problem wil solve.
Regards.
