What Is The Treatment For Blood In Urine?

This afternoon I noticed blood and clots when urinating. Having a heart condition , I take veryday 320 gr aspirine +digoxine, levothyroxine, furosemide and potassium. I made a short effort in the afternoon. the blood is bright red and no pain. My question is: Should I see my doctor immediately or should I wait 24 h. to see if the problem stops by itself. I never had that before. I am 90 years old. Thank you for your help

Hello,

I think you should stop taking aspirin because it may lead to bleeding even in other parts of the body.
You should consult your cardiologist soon about stopping aspirin.
Also doing an uroculture is advisable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
