My husband has been bleeding in his urine (on Coumadin). He was taken off the coumadin for a few days and now coagulated blood is making it harder for him to urinate. He s seeing his doctor tomorrow, but I wonder what can they do to facilitate urination in this case?
They can provide him with a large catheter, that allows irrigation of his bladder. This usually helps, and the catheter can be removed after a few days to weeks.
