General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In my opinion, the treatment should be done in the emergency room.

The treatment consists of removing the chemical that caused the burn and rinsing the skin under running water for 10 to 20 minutes.

Depending on the severity of your condition you may the following methods to treat your burn:
antibiotics
anti-itch medications
