What Is The Treatment For Cold And Sore Throat?

I have allergies that have flared in the last few days and a cold about a week ago. My throat started hurting about four days ago. Congestion comes up but the pain doesn t subside. It has moved sides and changed in intensity but does show any signs of going away. It also hurts worst when I yawn or stick out my tongue.

You have both the throat infection and allergic rhinitis. Nothing to be panic, consult a good ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin for the infection and cetrizine for the allergic rhinitis. Do saline gargling and take steam inhalation.
