I have a swing bed pt. who is going thru some depression, seems to have no interest in any activities can barley get her to manage her own adls. I have done activity assessment and have tried to stimilate her with the activities she has done at home. Her goal is to get well enough to go back to live at home alone but because of her fall which is why she is in swing bed family wants her to move in with them which is for her best interest because of some dementia. How can I help her grasp this new page in her life? I know it is hard to leave a home you have lived in for over 50 years but her family has her safety at heart. Maybe a Senior grief counsler grief does not always come from the loss of a loved one.
