yes just went for my first app. with a lcsw. I have been to ther. before, about 8 years ago. I told her about being depressed most of my life. I am 55. I stated that I should have been on an anti-deppressant years ago. she gave me the name of a doctor she knows that could wright a prescription and if he didnt take my insurance get aq list from my insurance. then she said maybe they could give me something to take the edge off.I know I need medication long term not to take the edge off, like she didnt think I was that depressed and to go seesomeone I didnt know to give me medication.my question is shouldnt she hav someone in her office to cover her and work together?

HI
Thanks for using healthcare magic

In case of depression, you need antidepressant with benzodiazepine. Better to consult a psychiatrist for proper treatment and that would help you to come out of this phase. In case, you need any help, you can ask.

Thanks
